Everyone is wondering, what is the forecast ahead looking like for Britney Spears? Well, change is definitely in the air.
In one day, Ms. Spears announced that she is saying goodbye to The X Factor and terminating her engagement with fiancé Jason Trawick. According to ABCNews.com, there are “offers and serious discussions” of a new residency in Las Vegas for the pop star.
Many, including People Magazine’s Carlos Greer, strongly believe that this particular type of change is a wonderful thing for Spears. This will put a focus on her career. “That’s when you see Britney at her best, when you see her at her most stable, is when she’s working,” Greer reveals.
There have been talks of Britney, 31, headlining her own nightly show. As of now, the singer is reported to potentially beat Celine Dion’s $100 million payday for her three-year residency in Las Vegas. Greer says, “I wouldn’t be surprised. She is a fantastic performer—the type of superstar that that kind of show wants.”
Spears announced that she is leaving The X Factor to focus on her upcoming album. "I had an incredible time doing the show and I love the other judges and I am so proud of my teens but it's time for me to get back in the studio," she said. "Watching them all do their thing up on that stage every week made me miss performing so much! I can't wait to get back out there and do what I love most."
As far as her engagement goes, Spears justifies to ABC News, "Jason and I have decided to call off our engagement. I'll always adore him and we will remain great friends.”
Aside from her friend and lover, Trawick resigned as co-conservator in charge of handling Spears’ personal affairs. This responsibility, many relationship psychologists say, was detrimental to the relationship. Jamie, Spears’ father continues to manage her financial affairs.
So now the tempting question arises, how is she now? Greer claims that Spears has been on the “upswing” since her relationship with Trawick and her health and general well being are a priority.
Having said that, it seems that Spears is handling the breakup fairly well. Greer adds, “I don't see her jumping back into the dating pool anytime soon. I really do think in the immediate future she'll be focusing on her career."
Britney will be missed on The X Factor, but it’s no doubt her fans miss her performances even more.
