Britney Spears: Leaked track of 'Alien' without autotune frightens the world

Britney Spears has sung without some assistance before, but her latest leaked track may just be one of the most frightening things in existence. The Huffington Post reported on July 8, 2014, that an unedited vocal version of a recent song from Spears has leaked online and it is just about one of the cringe-worthy things you'll ever hear.

It officially leaked onto the net on July 2, 2014, and it's an unedited version of Britney Spears' song "Alien" which is off of her latest album, "Britney Jean."

UPDATE: Just about every instance of the video has been removed due to copyright.

The track has been making the Internet rounds and fans don't even know what to think about it. Spears sounds low and throaty and just unlike you've ever heard before.

Once word of the leaked song got out, track producer William Orbit took to the net to let everyone know the truth. He said that it was a warm-up session for Britney Spears, and far from anything she was doing for the final take of the song.

"I'd like to affirm that ANY singer when first at the mic at the start of a long session can make a multitude of vocalisations in order to get warmed up," Orbit wrote. "Warming up is essential if you’re a pro, as it is with a runner doing stretches, and it takes a while to do properly. I’ve heard all manner of sounds emitted during warm-ups. The point is that it is not supposed to be shared with millions of listeners.

"A generous singer will put something down the mic to help the engineer get their systems warmed up and at the right level, maybe whilst having a cup of herb tea and checking through lyrics before the session really kicks off. It’s not expected to be a ‘take.'"

Fans of the singer are quickly jumping to her defense and advising everyone to leave Britney Spears alone. (Get that one?) Others are taking this leaked version of "Alien" to bash Spears at every turn, and push her further down the line.

There has been no word as to how the unedited version of "Alien" leaked online, but you can be sure that those in the Britney Spears' camp are trying to find out.
