Pop princess Britney Spears is flattered that country superstar Miranda Lambert uses her as inspiration to work out harder.
Spears took to Instagram to praise Lambert for her recent 45-pound weight loss. "So flattered by this @MirandaLambert!" Britney wrote. "You look amazing!!"
Spears was responding to a comment Miranda had made in a recent Women's Health magazine interview, where Miranda said she pictures Britney's fit body in her mind as inspiration to run faster during her workouts. "I can picture Britney's body and I'm like, 'Faster!'" said Lambert.
Portion-Controlled Diet and Circuit-Training Workouts
Miranda 30, is in the best shape of her life after reportedly losing 45 pounds through diet and exercise. Lambert said she lost the weight ahead of her 30th birthday (in November 2013) because she wanted to turn over a new leaf as she entered a new decade.
The blonde beauty said her junk-food diet during her 20s resulted in dramatic weight fluctuations, but she decided once and for all to take charge of her health.
Lambert, whose favorite snack is Cheetos, credited a portion-controlled diet and rigorous cardio and fat-burning circuit-training workouts for her unbelievable transformation.
Miranda said she tries not to get discouraged by the numbers she sees on the scale, saying constantly weighing yourself is an exercise in torture.
Slammed Weight-Loss Surgery and Anorexia Reports
Miranda, who's married to fellow country superstar Blake Shelton, made headlines after debuting her dramatic weight loss at the 2013 CMA Awards. She was shocked at the amount of attention she received after the weight loss, because she didn't think anyone would notice. Unfortunately, some of the attention wasn't positive.
Lambert recently slammed rumors that her weight loss was due to plastic surgery. A furious Miranda denied she underwent weight-loss surgery, and underscored that she had slimmed down the "good old-fashioned" way: through diet and exercise.
"I DID NOT have surgery to lose weight," she blogged. "That is ridiculous. I lost my weight the healthy and good-old fashioned way. Watching what I eat and working out with my trainer Bill Crutchfield."
Lambert also vehemently denied rumors she's suffering from the eating disorder anorexia after debuting her dramatically thinner frame. Miranda, who has sold more than five million albums, recently dropped her fifth album, Platinum.
