Britney Spears got minor plastic surgery in the form of lip injections and says the pressure to look good is overwhelming.
"I've had lip injections," Spears told InStyle. "I think it's important to look good and feel good about yourself, but I go both ways on it. I think it's cruel how the world puts so much emphasis on our looks."
Britney, 32, did not address longstanding rumors that she got breast implants during her twenties.
Spears accepts that her job requires her to look her best, but tries not to be obsessive about it.
"In this business you make a deal with the devil. I've learned you kind of have to go with it. What I do calls for me to look good. People expect that. I kind of take it as my job."
Spears' fitness plan includes a low-carb diet and rigorous workouts that include yoga, boxing and running on the treadmill. Britney watches her food intake, but admits dieting is hard because she loves to eat.
Spears defended the fat-shaming of Kim Kardashian, calling it unnecessarily cruel.
I see Kim and what she went through when she was pregnant—the tabloids were so mean to her because she was big. At one point [on her show] she was upset and said something like, 'I would be lying if I said that the criticism from the paparazzi while I've been pregnant hasn't taken a toll on me.' And I was like, 'Bless her heart,' because I remember that time.
First of all, you are already emotional, and then the paparazzi are taking pictures of you pregnant. That should be the time when your body is the most treasured. I loved being pregnant for so many reasons, not to mention the sex is awesome then."
Spears amped up her exercise routine to prepare for her two-year Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood. The grueling 96-show revue, which features tracks from her new album, Britney Jean, requires lots of stamina.
“It’s 10 more times more dancing, and more props and more gags," she said. "We use that to bring it more to life, make it really exciting.”
Unlike Miley Cyrus (who can't stop twerking in revealing clothes), Britney has toned down her fashion style as she has gotten older.
“When I was younger, I cared a lot more about what I wore,” she said. “But the older you get, the more you think about what’s easy and comfortable. And as a mom, I’m a little bit more conservative.”
Spears hinted that she's consider retiring after her Vegas residency to get married and perhaps have more children. She's currently dating David Lucado, who works for a legal firm. "I may have two more kids and get married," she said. "I'd like to have more kids."
