Britney Spears hopes to end her conservatorship soon.
Britney Spears hopes to end her conservatorship soon.

Britney Spears was set to appear in court today at 1:30  to talk to Judge Reva Goetz; however, according to TMZ, the court date has been postponed to give the parties more time to prepare before meeting wtih the judge.

Spears' father, Jamie, is hoping to wind down the conservatorship sometime this year and this meeting with the judge could be Spears' first step to regain control of her finances. The conservatorship has been in place since 2008, after Spears' meltdown, and gives her father control of her legal and business affairs.

Spears missed the previous court date in January due to a "misunderstanding." No new court date has been set, but it is clear that Spears has made considerable progress in the past couple years. She just ended her wildly successful Circus tour and has been quiety dating her agent Jason Trawick.
