After weeks of reports regarding the possible end to her relationship, Spears took to social media to confirm she is once again living the "single life." Following her tweet, her rep confirmed to Us Weekly that the news was true.
"Ahhhh the single life!" Spears wrote on Twitter on Aug. 28. Moments later, Us Weekly reported, "It's over! Britney Spears and her boyfriend of over a year, David Lucado, have called it quits, her rep [confirms]."
After a brief marriage to childhood friend, Jason Alexander, which ended in an annulment, Spears married Kevin Federline. The pair became engaged just three months after they began dating and on Sept. 18, 2004, they tied the knot. One year later, their first son, Sean Preston, was born, and a year after that, their second son, Jayden James, arrived.
Following her divorce from Federline, Spears began dating her agent Jason Trawick, and the two became engaged in Dec. 2011. In Jan. 2013, the engagement was called off and two months later, Spears and Lucado began their relationship.
