A deal is almost final between pop star Britney Spears and Caesars Entertainment according to Las Vegas Sun on Feb.11. If a deal is reached, Spears will secure a minimum $30 million paycheck. For two years, she will perform at the 7,400-seat PH Live theater at Planet Hollywood.
Caesars Entertainment and agents of Britney Spears are negotiating how many weekends the pop princess should perform. Spears was offered a 35 weekend residency over the span of two years. Spears counter offered to make that 45 weekends instead. According to Las Vegas Sun, "the proposed deal also calls for Britney’s appearances at Caesars Entertainment nightclub properties and its high-roller venues". If there is an agreement to the contract, Spears would start residency in Las Vegas this fall at the same time her new album comes out.
Britney Spears is still a hit and has loyal fans. Her collaboration with Will.I.Am on “Scream & Shout” has garnered over 115 million views on YouTube as of Feb.11.
Spears has certainly come a long way from 1999.
