Britney Spears announced yesterday that her 8th studio album, out December 3rd, is called "Britney Jean."
Jean is Britney's middle name and told London's Capital FM that since the new collection is her most personal album yet, she wanted the name to reflect that. While "Britney Jean" might not be the most creative way to demonstrate the albums personal meaning, Spear's told the London radio station, "It's a personal album, and all my family, they all call me Britney Jean, it's like a term of endearment, and I just wanted to share that with my fans."
It's been over two years since Brit has released a new album. "Femme Fatale," which spawned hits "Till The World Ends" & "I Wanna Go", was a commercial hit for the pop star. This time around, Britney teamed up with will.i.am and William Orbit on what is expected to be her best work to date. Critics are already predicting that this album is more of an experimental album and fans shouldn't expect all the songs to sound like "Work Bitch," the albums lead single.
