The younger sister of Christian Grey has been cast and her name is Rita Ora. As Reuters reports on December 2, the British R&B singer has been cast to play Mia Grey in the much anticipated film adaptation of E. L. James’ best-selling erotic novel “Fifty Shades of Grey”.
The 23-year-old Ora joins a cast that already includes Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele). This is not the singer’s first acting gig. She has also appeared in “Fast & Furious 6” as well as the 2004 British film “Spivs”.
She will bring even more sex appeal to the Universal and Focus Features film. Musically Ora, a Jay Z Roc Nation artist, is known for her breakout single “Hot Right Now”, the first of three consecutive No. 1 singles and is expected to release her second album in spring 2014.
Ora’s debut album, “Ora”, was released in 2012.
The “Fifty Shades of Grey” cast also includes Eloise Mumford, Luke Grimes, Victor Rasuk, Jennifer Ehle and Max Martini. The film is set for a 2015 release and will be produced by Michael de Luca.
