When videos show up with people claiming to see a ghost, many have to wonder if it is a stunt or something paranormal that really happened. That very discussion is ongoing for one of the oldest pubs in the United Kingdom that has apparently captured a ghostly figure on their security cameras, according to People on Feb. 19, 2014.
The supposed "ghost" sighting at Ye Olde Man & Scythe was recently discovered on their CCTV tapes this past week, and no-one is quite sure what to make of it.
In the video, things seem normal but then the lights start flickering a lot, and then a ghostly figure appears for a few seconds in the center of the screen. It appears to be quite human-like and almost looks like it has a bag over her head.
Manager Tom Dooley said he was the one that discovered the ghost on the security tapes. He came into the pub and first noticed broken glass on the floor. He thought a burglary had happened so he checked the CCTV footage and noticed the strange happening before it shut off for some reason at 6:18 a.m.
"I came down and saw a glass smashed on the floor so I was instantly suspicious and went to check the CCTV and found it has stopped working," said Mr Dooley. "We checked the footage and it revealed this figure."
"To be honest, I was a bit concerned - I'm a bit of a skeptic when it comes to ghosts but you become more of a believer when you see things like that."
A shadowy figure can also be seen moving across the right-hand wall when all of the hoopla starts happening, and not many have noticed that as of yet.
No matter what the case may be, the British pub ghost has brought a lot of attention to Ye Olde Man & Scythe. It already is a popular pub, but so many are discussing whether it is true or simply some sort of a publicity stunt.
