At the 1984 Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, British ice dancers Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean performed their famous Bolero free dance that not only nine earned perfect 6.0 scores and an Olympic gold medal, but also turned them into ice skating legends. They went on to a successful professional skating career. They then made a return to competitive skating when the International Skating Union relaxed the rules and allowed professionals to compete at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway where they won bronze. In more recent years, they returned to the spotlight in the British television reality series "Dancing on Ice" where they performed their famous Bolero program once again.
Christopher Dean comes to Colorado Springs on a regular basis to spend time with his two sons. When he is in town, he does some choreography and coaching.
