British Actor Benedict Cumberbatch has fun on Sesame Street

From sexy screen sirens like Charlize Theron to funnyman Ricky Gervais Sesame Street has had its fair share of high profile celebrities from the world of music, art, television and theater. From across the pond British actor Benedict Cumberbatch is adding Sesame Street screen time to his impressive resume.

A large part of America’s childhood was watching Sesame Street and seeing some of our favorite film and television stars on the show. Singing their ABC’s and 123’s this unique element of childhood education helped to bring a human side to some of today’s biggest stars.

One of the biggest stars from across the pond British actor Benedict Cumberbatch who is known for his role in Sherlock and Star Trek is getting some face time with the Muppets of Sesame Street. Cumberbatch is spending time with the Count and Murray Monster as he helps to add up some apples and oranges all while trying to prove that he really is not Sherlock to Murray Monster that he only plays Sherlock on TV not in real life.

After spending time with the Muppets of Sesame Street Cumberbatch shared the news with his TV wife actress Amanda Abbington according to Spectrum “I just met with the Muppets,” “It was so much fun,” he said, adding, “They are real.”
