"Britain's Got Talent" is now back on the air -- which means plenty more people aspiring to be the next Susan Boyle along with hundreds of "talents" there merely for filler.
In the case of Max Oliver, we are definitely looking at the latter. Oliver, a 21-year old sales assistant, decided apparently that it would be a fun idea to hit up the show dressed as Lady Gaga and give a fun sort of song-and-dance to some of the singer's greatest hits. Unfortunately for Simon Cowell (and most of the world), we couldn't say that the performance was altogether endearing. Instead, we were forced into hearing a guy screech into the microphone while wearing a thong and trying to dance around the stage. (Somewhere, Gaga is crying from this mutilation of her art.)
At the end of the day, though, judges Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden did the unthinkable and actually passed this guy through to the next round. Why in the world would they do this? All talent competitions like to have a "variety" of acts, even if that means a few who really have little to no business actually being on stage.
