It's 2010 and your Divorce Guru is full of opinions. Opinions about divorce, love, sex, and spirituality and of course the Tiger Woods scandal. My opinion for today: Brit Hume is a dork.
Brit Hume is an anchor for Fox News Sunday this morning. In the video below he gives his opinion on Buddhism versus Christianity. Basically Brit Hume feels that Christianity is a more "redemptive" and "forgiving religion" than Buddhism.
Hume says to Woods, "He’s said to be a Buddhist, I don’t think that faith offers the kind of forgiveness and redemption that is offered by the Christian faith, so my message to Tiger would be “Tiger, turn to the Christian faith, and you can make a total recovery and be a great example to the world."
Oh, Brit, thanks so much for your kind and loving words to Tiger Woods on how to be a better person. Everyone knows that Christianity is the only religion who forgives people for being human...this Divorce Guru can't believe Tiger Woods didn't know that! I'm sure Brit, you're also thinking that if Woods had been a Christian in the first place, that he never would have cheated on his wife, been involved in such a scandal which is leading to divorce. I don't think I can recall any Christian men who have cheated on their wives or gotten divorced...not one.
Damn you Brit Hume for telling someone to drop their spirituality for yours. Kim Hess Divorce Guru thought she lived in the "land of the free" where everyone was equal no matter their race or religion. Guess not on Fox News!

Where in the world did Hume say that if Woods had been a Christian, he would not have cheated on his wife? That's the whole point of Christianity. Christians don't believe they are immune from doing bad things, they believe that they are forgiven for them.
Also, suggesting one religion over the other is not forcing the said religion on someone, as you suggest in saying that Fox news is not the "land of the free."
Kim Hess Divorce Guru thought she lived in the "land of the free" where everyone was equal no matter their race or religion, but I guess not on Fox News, where a correspondent was giving his own suggestions and opinions! That's not free at all!
Hume is ridiculous--I guess he's hoping all those high- profile Christians who've condemned everyone else, then got caught out in their own scandals, will get redemption. Thanks for taking a sane position on this, Kim.
