ABC has announced the celebrity lineup for the reality television show, 'Dancing with the Stars' season 11, and the rumors have been confirmed. Bristol Palin is indeed a contestant for the 2010 fall competition.
"I thought this was Dancing with the "Stars", how is Bristol Palin a "star"?", "I will be watching the Food Channel or QVC.", "ABC you've sure lost us, we were fans of DWTS...but Bristol Palin is NOT A STAR".", "Well, you lost another viewer...Bristal Palin!". These are just a few of the comments you will find posted on ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars' official website from disappointed fans.
Season 10 of Dancing with the Stars placed Kate Gosselin in the hot seat. She was not considered a "star", season 9 it was Tom Delay. Each season 'Dancing with the Stars' fans state they will not watch the show again because it is no longer Dancing with the "Stars". Yet they do. Why? To see the "non star" fall on their face and quickly be voted off.
Fans may post they will not watch ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars' due to Bristol Palin being a contestant, but they will. They will sit glued to their television, hoping to see her fail. She might, but no matter how many people want her voted off, there are that many and more who want Bristol Palin to stay. And she will.
Bristol Palin may not be considered a "star" and therefore not deemed "eligible" to compete on ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars" by die hard fans. But to Dancing with the Stars, Bristol Palin represents controversy and controversy leads to high ratings. Pretty smart ABC. You can bet I will be watching, for my own reasons, and I prefer not to share.

Absolutely strange they pick Bristol Palin - this is a girl who is not a star, not a hero to young girls, glorified and paid to be on this show. They are getting hard up for "stars" and now you pick a girl who is being rewarded for bad behavior.

This is Sarah Palin's idea of "Taking back America"....by putting her family in every spot light
she can find. The next thing we know, Piper will be the new Bachelorette....
This is an insult to anyone on these programs who are dumb enough to fall for the media frenzy and self promoting this family does for attention. I will never watch that show again. (gag)
Well this fan of Dancing with the Stars is not going to watch Sarah Palin's daughter. Will this women stop at nothing to get her name out there! Oh I know this stirs up controversy, but this is not a talk show. I guess the show is worried about it's ratings. How low will they go next year? But I refuse to help keep Sarah Palin in the limelight. And now I see how ABC is leaning politically.
Bristol Palin is proving herself worthy of watching. She is doing rather well, considering she has not even had any back ground of dancing, Hopefully she will continue to improve. She is graceful, but she does need to show more expression.
