TMZ has reported on Jan. 3 that Bristol Palin has received a temporary restraining order against her stalker. Michael Cummings sent Bristol a proposal and an engagement ring through the mail before showing up at Sarah Palin’s home. Bristol claims she does not know the 39-year-old man from Texas.
Michael Cummings sent Bristol Palin a simple message of “I (heart) you” with an engagement ring and proposal. The 39-year-old also went to Alaska and was seen near Sarah Palin’s home. Bristol has been able to get a temporary restraining order against him, but she plans to pursue the case and obtain a stricter order.
This is not the first time that Bristol Palin has found herself in a courtroom. In June 2012, Stephen Hanks sued her after appearing on her reality TV show. He claimed he never gave permission to use his image on television or signed any waivers. Bristol’s Lifetime show captured Stephen arguing with her at a bar in Hollywood. Hanks filed a defamation lawsuit that was later dismissed.
Bristol Palin has made it clear that she has no connection to Michael Cummings and has never met him. She is currently dating Joey Junker, but she refers to him as a “friend” on her official blog. The 30-year-old snowmobiler has been linked to Bristol Palin for several months, but there are no plans for marriage at this point. The only engagement ring she may have for a while is the one that Michael Cummings sent her in the mail.
