Female

This week we are naming co female athlete of the week winners. it is only the second time that we have named co winners. Max McHugh (Central) and Alex Speed (PCHS) shared the honor on September 14, 2012.

This week, Brinsley Chasse (Orono) and Anna Ramsey (Narraguagus) shared the honor.

Brinsley Chasse- Orono- basketball- Chasse is a freshman on the JV and Varsity team. She showed exceptional sportsmanship during a game when a player on the other team landed hard on her elbow and was on the floor in tears. The refs were letting the play continue, but when Brinsley was passed the ball, she threw the ball out of bounds to stop play so the hurt player could be tended to by the trainer. This meant her team lost the ball, but more importantly, it meant an injured player received help.

Chasse is the eighth student/athlete from Orono high school to earn athlete of the week honors.

Christian Mowrer (2), Dominic Mowrer, Tyler Eddy (2), Andi Foster (2), Jillian Woodward (2), Diana Tyutyunnyk, and Keenan Collett are the previous winners from Orono.
