The seasonal tasting menu was inspired by the flavors of Cinco de Mayo including Hacienda Iara Ecuador Organic 72% Dark with Chili & Pink Peppercorns, Liquid Aztec Chocolat and a number of other chocolate selections and rare cocoa varieties that awake the palate.
“Hotel Chocolat likes to bring a surprise to the enjoyment of premium chocolate,” explained Hotel Chocolat’s US CEO Nicki Doggart. “Cinco de Mayo sets a party mood and these limited release flavors are like a party in a bar.”
Hotel Chocolat’s May Chili and Chocolate Tastings are available by reservation only at $50/person, and are held exclusively in the company’s only Tasting Room, located at the chocolatier’s Newbury Street store. The hour-plus experience includes a full chocolate tasting journey and an introduction to Hotel Chocolat’s Rabot Estate in St. Lucia, its Engaged Ethics program, the origins of chocolate, and a peek into the “no nasties” commitment to premium ingredients and a less sugar more cocoa approach.
