More than 13,000 participants are expected from across the American Midwest at the 2013 Briggs & Al's Run & Walk for Children's Hospital on Saturday, September 14, in Milwaukee.
The charity race begins at 10:15 a.m, at the corner of 12th Street and Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Milwaukee. The event includes am 8k run, as well as three- and five-mile walks.
Awards will be presented to top overall male and female finishers in the 8K race, as well as the fastest three male and female runners in each age category. Medals will be mailed after the event.
Team registration is closed, but individuals may sign up to run. Registration is open through noon on Friday, September 13, at the Children’s Hospital Foundation office at Oakwood Center, 10361 Innovation Drive, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Registration fees range from $25 to $35. Children may walk or run for less.
Pledge forms are available for team and individual participants.
This popular Milwaukee event has raised more than $14 million in its 36-year history.

A finish line celebration will take place at the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard at the Maier Festival Park grounds on the Lake Michigan shoreline after the Briggs & Al's Run & Walk for Children's Hospital.
