“Although Ms. Gantt resides with the victim, she conspired with Norris to set up a robbery which ultimately led to gun fire and the death of the victim,” Smith said. “She was struck in the head with a blunt object during the incident.”

Smith did not say who struck the woman and declined to release any additional details on the circumstances of the shooting.

Peeping Tom Arrested For Allegedly Spying on Woman in Colleged Restroom

A 24-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly spying on a woman as she was using the restroom at Athens Technical College last week.

Mr. Charles Tyron Hill, 24, was charged with Peeping Tom, according to Athens-Clarke County police.

The incident happened around 9 a.m. on April 15 inside the school at 800 Highway 29 in Athens, police spokeswoman Hilda Sorrow said. The 29-year-old woman told police she was using one of the stalls when she heard someone entering the restroom and going into the stall next to hers, Sorrow said.

“As she was using the facility, she saw an unknown black male looking over the stall wall,” Sorrow said. “When she screamed at him, he ran from the restroom.”

Another witness said she was driving through the parking lot when the suspect ran from the building, forcing her to slam on the brakes to keep from hitting him, Sorrow said.

A security officer of Athens Technical College contacted the police Wednesday when he observed a person matching the description of the suspect, the spokeswoman said. The security officer was able to maintain visual contact with the suspect until officers could arrive, she said.
