The bloody body of a man about 60 years old was found Friday morning in northwest Atlanta. And police believe the victim was targeted.

But so far, they don’t know who killed the man or why. And the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office is still working to determine his identity.

The investigation began around 6:30 a.m. when officers responded to Hightower Road and St. Jospeh Avenue after someone called 911 to report a person down, according to Atlanta police. When officers arrived, they found the man’s body, police spokesman Officer John Chafee said. He had multiple stab wounds and other injuries to his body, Chafee said.

Investigators said the man was killed in the area and they have received information that led them to believe it was not a random act.

Man Masturbates Outside Kroger

A 24-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly caught performing a sex act in his vehicle outside a Kroger in Cherokee County Thursday night.

James Blake Worley, of Canton, was charged with public indecency, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. He was released Friday on $1,500 bond, the sheriff’s spokesman Lt. Jay Baker said.

The incident happened around 8:40 p.m. outside the Hickory Flat Kroger, Baker said. Someone called 911 to report that a man was masturbating inside his vehicle, he said.

The suspect and vehicle were gone by the time deputies arrived, but the victim was able to provide a detailed description of the suspect and his vehicle including the tag number, Baker said. Deputies went to the residence were the vehicle was registered and found Worley. They also discovered enough evidence to charge him, Baker said.

Man Exposes Himself to Teen

A man allegedly exposed himself to a 16-year-old girl earlier this week in a Kroger parking lot in Cobb County. But so far they have not been able to arrest the suspect or even identify him.

But on Friday, they released a picture of the suspect, hoping that someone will be able to recognize him.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the parking lot of Kroger at 4150 Macland Road in Powder Springs, Cobb County police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said.

Investigators said the teen was selling books in the parking lot of the Kroger at the intersection of Macland and Lost Mountain roads when a man motioned to her from his van. As the victim was talking with perpetrator, she noticed that he was exposing himself, Pierce said. When the victim walked away, the perpetrator watched her while circling the parking lot in his van.

The victim described the suspect as a medium-build white man, between 30 and 40 years old with minimal facial hair and grayish-brownish hair, police said. He was driving a white van with the blue letters "DENNI" written on the side.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the vehicle is asked to call (770) 499-3911.
