Bride pelted with stones and eggs after marrying twin sister’s convicted killer (Photos)

A Valentine’s Day wedding turned ugly when Edith Casas, 22, from Argentina married the man currently spending 13 years in an Argentine prison for murdering her twin sister, model Johana Casas. Edith married convicted killer Victor Cingolani on Feb.14 at the civil registry in Pico Truncade, Argentina, according to The Daily Mail.

Pico Truncade is also the same city where the bride’s murdered sister was discovered 2 days before her 20th birthday in July, 2010 with two bullet wounds in her head.

The groom, Victor Cingolani, 28, the ex-boyfriend of the murdered Johana, was temporarily released from prison for the wedding, but was returned to his jail cell in handcuffs immediately after the ceremony.

The bride was pelted with stones and eggs as she emerged from the register office, while her husband, disguised in sunglasses and a beret, was rushed out of the back door to his cell.

The scandalous prison wedding between Edith and Cingolani was scheduled to take place in Dec., 2012; but Edith’s mom intervened when a civil judge granted the request of Edith’s mother for her daughter to undergo a mental evaluation – which she did.

Doctors evaluating Edith found no signs of any mental dysfunction.

On realizing that her daughter was going through with the wedding, Edith’s mom said, “there are no words to describe what Edith is going to do. She’s guilty of a terrible betrayal.”

Edith’s dad, Valentin Casas, wants nothing more to do with his surviving daughter.

“Johana is with God and Edith is with the Devil,” the father said.

Edith and her new hubbie both claim that Cingolani is innocent of sister Johana’s murder.

Another individual, Marco Diaz, who was dating 19-year-old Johana at the time of her death has also been charged with Johana’s murder and is awaiting trial.
