A bride was sentenced to 30 years in prison after she pushed her new husband off of a cliff last year. On March 27, USA Today reported that 22-year-old Jordan Linn Graham agreed to a plea deal back in December that had her serving less of a sentence. Graham thus admitted that she pushed 25-year-old Cody Johnson from a ledge, ending his life.
"U.S. District Judge Donald Molloy ordered her to serve 365 months in federal prison without the possibility of parole and also barred her from benefiting in any way from revealing additional details about the murder," USA Today reports.
The bride got 30 years of prison time much to the dismay of the prosecution -- they wanted to see Graham sentenced to life in prison. Apparently Graham showed no remorse for her actions and didn't offer an apology at all. Graham says that she wasn't really thinking about where she was and that she "just pushed" Johnson, perhaps not realizing that he would fall off of a cliff and die at Glacier National Park.
The prosecution, however, believed that Graham planned to kill her new husband which is why they were pushing for a steeper sentence. Check out the video above for more.
The bride's 30-year sentence seems too short for many people, but alas it is what it is.
