Inspired by 1960’s silhouettes, Sheaffer uses crisp cotton fabrics to create a fresh, new look in bridal. Made in a fine, English net, the Trillium gown features a halter neckline of organza-backed lace which travels delicately around the neckline. Poppy also uses English net in dainty flowers throughout the bodice, each dotted with a Swarovski crystal, over a skirt of cotton pin-tucked shirting fabric, cut to create a chevron design in its flirty, cocktail-length skirt. The show-stopping Honeysuckle gown is an example of the fine craftsmanship that goes into each Veronica Sheaffer design – expertly cut, pin-tucked fabric travels around the body and creates a voluminous skirt over a silk taffeta underlining. And sweetness abounds in the Laurel dress—made in the softest silk/cotton-blend voile, its skirt features crisscrosses of grosgrain ribbon, accented by tufts of velvet blossoms. Each gown is lined in gorgeous silk with her signature lace-trimmed corset.
Throughout the collection, Sheaffer maintains her timeless aesthetic and focus on marrying classic femininity with modern individuality. Only the finest fabrics are used and each piece is handmade in Chicago.
