Brides for 2012 are said to be super tech savvy, and up on all the latest trends! Yay for you!
Since you are surfing the internet so much, you have probably come up with a file to place all of the hair pictures you are finding named “My Wedding Hair”, or a pin board on Pinterest titled “Possible Hair Styles”. This is a great way to start the process of picking out the perfect hair style. Pinterest has become the most accessible way to find THE BEST pictures of all things wedding for 2012. Last year we all know that the MOST popular hair style was the Low Chignon. This look is super elegant and beautiful, but has not been the most asked for hair style this year. So what have other brides been asking for?
1) Vintage Romance is IN STYLE: So many brides are trying to re-create a vintage hair style for their wedding day. It’s important to find a stylist who can accomplish a vintage style with a modern twist (since its 2012 and not 1950). Make sure to take a good look at portfolios before booking trials! Example HERE
2) Braids are still a big hit: The French briad going down one side of the front of your face is still popular, but this year we are starting to see new braid trends arise:
· Waterfall braids are the newest thing
· Braids going from one side and wrapping all the way down and around to a side updo
3) Upside-down french twists or low twists vs. the low bun or chignon are now popular amongst bridesmaids and brides. Check it out HERE
4) Half up half down without curls up top and instead using weaving and knots are in! Check it out HERE
If you incorporate one of these newest styles into your bridal hairstyle you will be on top of the latest trends. You can take any of these styles and make them look timeless in a special way.
