Brianna Skolfield leads Foxcroft to 42-32 victory over PCHS

DOVER-FOXCROFT--- Brianna Skolfield recorded 17 points, 14 rebounds, and two blocks to lead the Foxcroft Ponies girls basketball team to a 42-32 victory over the Piscataquis community high school (PCHS) Pirates on Tuesday evening.

Foxcroft never trailed, and built the lead as high as 13 (30-17) early in the fourth quarter.

PCHS cut the lead to 34-28 when Mikayla Dow hit two free throws with 2:42 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Mackenzie Coiley made a three pointer to give the Ponies a comfortable 37-28 lead with 2:06 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Foxcroft shot 5-7 from the free throw line in the final 90 seconds to secure the victory.

Coiley recorded 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists for the Ponies. Julia Annis chipped in with five points and nine rebounds.

Grace Bickford recorded four points, five rebounds, and two assists. Madison Chadbourne added four points and two rebounds.

Foxcroft out rebounded PCHS 43-26.

Foxcroft (10-6) currently sits fourth in the MPA class B standings. The Ponies have two games remaining in the regular season.

Alex Speed led the Pirates with 11 points, three assists, and two rebounds. Dow finished with seven points, seven rebounds, and three steals.

Delani Bennett recorded six points, six rebounds, and one block. Bennett was limited to 20 minutes due to foul trouble. She fouled out early in the fourth quarter.

Haylee Patterson chipped in with six points and six rebounds. Jordynne Littlefield added two points.

PCHS (9-6) currently sits seventh in the MPA class C heal point standings. The Pirates have three huge heal point worthy games remaining on the schedule.

They will host Dexter in their last home game of the regular season on Thursday evening.
