Brianna Skolfield dominates to capture second athlete of the week

2013/2014 Winter season- Week 2-December 9th-December 15th

Female

Brianna Skolfield- Foxcroft- basketball- Had a monster game in a 36 points, 30 rebounds, and five assists effort in 76-44 victory over Caribou.

Scored 22 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in 68-46 loss to MDI. Recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds in 39-36 win over Dexter.

Skolfield also earned AOW on November 3rd, when she helped the Foxcroft field hockey team defeat Winslow and NYA to capture the class C state championship.

This is the 14th time the athlete of the week has gone to a Foxcroft student/athlete.

Ryan Rebar (3), Donnie Boyer (3), Cameron Fadley, Tino Ayala,Mackenzie Coiley, Jesse Provost, Kaleb Smith, and Julia Annis join Skolfield as Ponies to earn the honor.

Runner up

Hannah Shaw- MDI- basketball- Recorded 14 points, nine rebounds, nine steals, and six assists in 68-46 win over Foxcroft. Scored 27 points in 64-47 victory over Hermon.

Other nominations

Kelsey Shaw- MDI- basketball- Recorded 18 points, 11 rebounds, five steals, and two assists in 68-46 victory over Foxcroft.

Chelsey Pelkey- Limestone- basketball- Recorded 19 points and 12 assists in 66-52 victory over Fort Fairfield.

Megan Peach- Dexter- basketball- Scored 12 points and pulled down nine rebounds in 72-11 victory over Penquis.

Krystal Kingsbury- Presque Isle- basketball- Scored 19 points in 61-42 win over Houlton. Scored 24 points in 69-41 win over Fort Kent.

Joan Overman- Washburn- basketball- Recorded 26 points, 10 rebounds, and five steals in 50-42 victory over Southern Aroostook/

Colleen O’Donnell- Waterville- basketball- Recorded 11 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists in 34-24 victory over MCI.

Jordynee Littlefield- PCHS- basketball- Scored a game high 14 points in 53-30 victory over George Stevens. Scored a game high 18 points (9-15 FG) in 40-37 victory over Stearns.

Alex Speed- PCHS- basketball- Scored the go ahead basket with 41 seconds left in 40-37 victory over Stearns. Scored 25 points (13-16 FT) in 54-28 victory over Penquis.

Brianna Losee- MCI- basketball- Scored 23 points in 44-37 victory over Belfast.
