A popular search today is for the name Brian Warner, but who is Brian Warner and why are people interested in searching for information on him?
Brian Warner is the real name of singer Marilyn Manson, and he was just pictured in a rare photo without his face covered in heavy white paint, thick black eyeliner and blood red lips. Yahoo Music revealed that Warner/ Manson allowed Interview Magazine to publish this rare photo.
So what is so unique about this man you ask ,well since he is very rarely seen by many without his makeup the search engines are being flooded with curious fans and non fans wanting to know more about the man behind the makeup.
On stage Marilyn Manson's freakish look and controversial music has sparked more than one argument over his frightening and disturbing music and videos. Brian Warner revealed that he got his stage name by taking the name Marilyn from the iconic sex symbol Marilyn Monroe, and Manson from the crazed serial killer Charles Manson combing a bit of beauty meeting the beast.
Add all of these elements to the shocking lyrics of sex,violence and drugs and it tends to pose a problem for most parents who find Marilyn Manson offensive and obscene and have attempted to ban their children from listening to the musician.
Is Marilyn Manson any different from other musicians who have gone after fame and fortune using the shock value to capture the eye and ears of rebellious teenagers? Not really think back throughout the generations past. Elvis was taboo in the 50's for his hip swiveling dance moves that drove the girls wild, and in a closer comparison the rock band Kiss. Kiss spent many years covered in makeup similar to Manson's spending the first several years criticized by parents claiming that they were the devils music.
Marilyn Manson is best known for his hits such as' Sweet Dreams' and the 'Dope Show' but behind the makeup and the tattoos claims to be a regular guy, who does regular things. He dates, he eats and watches tv, revealing that his favorite show is HBO's Eastbound and Down. So could he really be just your normal guy next door? Okay maybe not the guy next door to you, but next door to someone, somewhere.
Ashley T of Cincinnati stated "I would of never have guessed the guy in this picture to be Marilyn Manson, he is so scary looking with all the makeup,here he just looks kind of like a redneck trucker. His music is a little more than I can handle though, I can see where some parents would not want their kids to listen to it."
