Oh yeah, I've got to tell my friend about this. Brian McKnight is coming to the Akron Civic Theatre in Akron, Ohio, for a concert on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 08:00 PM.
She loves him -- at least when he used to have that late-night talk-song show. Does that still come on?
That might be a concert well worth attending. He has a great voice and great lyrics.
One of my favorite McKnight songs isn't a popular one. "Keep it on the Down Low," is the name of it, and I can still quote some lines from memory.
"Maxine was five-foot-nine, had a man, she didn't mind," he sang. "Walked up to me nice and slow, what she wanted I did not know."
Yeah, I guess we know why stuff went wrong in his household -- but, hey, what can I say?
And then there's that "I run into her like a river strong" song -- oh yeah, "She Gives Me Crazy Love" that people in other genres have covered it's so good.
Yes, think I'll tell my friend about it and cop some tickets.
The tickets go on sale to general public on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 10:00 AM EST -- there are "Venue Presale" times as follows:
Start: Thu, 11/17/11 10:00 AM EST

The Akron Civic Theatre's address is:

And the ticket range is $27.00 - US $59.00 with TicketMaster giving these details:
US $27.00 Ticket + US $6.10 Fees =
US $33.10
US $59.00 Ticket + US $8.50 Fees =

It's cool when people like this come to the Akron/Canton area.
