Olympic gold medalist Brian Boitano headlines Musselman’s Apple Sauce presents Brian Boitano Skating Spectacular, a figure skakng event on this Sunday, December 18, 2011, at 4 p.m. ET on NBC. This show is part of the Pandora NBC Skating Series, produced by Disson Skating in conjunction with NBC, according to a December 15 press release from NBC Sports.
The skating spectacular will be hosted by Olympic gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi and two-time world champion Nancy Kerrigan from the Compton Family Center, at University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
Brian Boitano holds more professional titles than any other skater in the history of figure skating. He will skate in this event, alongside U.S. and Olympic champion Michael Weiss, U.S. champion Ryan Bradley, World Professional Champions Elena Leonova and Andrei Khvalko, British national champion Steve Cousins, and world medalist Caryn Kadavy.
The band Chicago and Notre Dame’s Marching Band of the Fighting Irish will perform live. Chicago is releasing a new Christmas album this year. Notre Dame’s Marching Band is the oldest continuous college marching band in the United States. The 400 members perform for hundreds of thousands of college football fans live and millions more on national television.
