Bradenton beer fans enjoyed the lilted strains of Bluegrass guitar music and tasted beers from all over the world at the Brewgrass 3rd annual beer festival. Downtown Bradenton closed off two blocks (Main Street) for an afternoon and evening to be remembered.
Breweries including: Goose Island, Victory Brewing, Cigar City Brewing, Kona Brewing, Woodchuck, Hooegarden, Leffe, Michelob, Saint Somewhere, Magic Hat Brewing, Southern Tier, Bold City Brewing (Jacksonville), Blue Point, Terrapin, Rogue and Tampa Bay brewing (to name just a few).
There were some great bands playing this year: Shotgun Party, Swamp Grass, Florida Mountain Boys, Spirit Ranch, Manatee River Band, Highway 41 and State Road 64.
The event was a fundraiser for the Gamble Plantation which is the only surviving sugar plantation mansion in South Florida.
The Beer Tasting started at 3pm until 7pm and tickets cost $25 on the day. Tickets included: Tasting Cup, Access to 100+ Beers, Beer Passport (free beer), Bluegrass Bands and the wristband. A good time was had by all!
