Brewery Ommegang releases new 'Game of Thrones'-inspired beer

There are just under four weeks to go until Game of Thrones returns to HBO for season four and now there's a new brew you can crack open for your watch party.

According to The Huffington Post on Monday, Brewery Ommegang will introduce its newest Thrones-inspired beer on March 31. This time, you can get your hands on Fire and Blood Red Ale, a nod to House Targaryen's motto, "Fire and Blood."

Brewery Ommegang, a Cooperstown, N.Y.-based brewery focusing on Belgian-style ales, gives the new brew the following description:

Fire and Blood a deep, dark red hue with a persistent, creamy off-white head. Aromas of ripe fruit, raisins, malt and slight spice, followed by a slightly floral and spicy hop character. A fruity, sweetish malt taste gives way to faint drying provided by the hops and rye. Underlying flavors of raisin and prune from the ancho chilies give way to a balanced malty and spicy finish.

Visitors to the brewery itself can get their hands on it starting March 16. It will be available with three different labels featuring one of Daenerys' three dragons: Rhaegal, Viserion, and Drogon.

If that doesn't quite sound like your kind of beer, though, you can pick up one of the brewery's previous Game of Thrones beers: Iron Throne Blonde Ale, which launched on March 31, 2013, or the cleverly-named Take The Black Stout, a "deep, dark and complex" brew that Jon Snow and his Night's Watch brothers would surely enjoy on a chilly evening.

Meanwhile, on Sunday HBO released a brand-new trailer for season four entitled "Secrets." We get some glimpses of some upcoming storylines such as Dany settling in Meereen, Oberyn Martell (aka the Red Viper) in action, and chaos unfolding at The Wall.

Game of Thrones season four premieres on HBO April 6.
