Located at 511 S. Union St. in Traverse City, Brewery Ferment was opened in September 2012 by Traverse City siblings Dustin and Kirsten, and their friend Carly.
“Using local and Michigan ingredients are important to us,” Kirsten said.
This trio plays quite the role at Brewery Ferment – not just a place for one-of-a-kind brews. Dustin is the head brewer, Kirsten makes merchandise with local hops, and Carly does a podcast called ‘Drink My Brewcast.’ “We consider ourselves a boutique brewery since we are small and very hands on.”

Join Brewery Ferment this Friday, March 28th at 8pm for their delicious release of ‘A Honey Named Heather.’ Inspired by ancient Scottish beer, this specialty brew used Champion Hill honey, and Heather tips, instead of hops – a whirl of taste for your buds you certainly don’t want to miss. Malt forward with floral and honey notes. Alcohol content is around 9%.
Free Pangaea’s piece of pizza Friday from 6-8 pm when you purchase a pint of beer.
See you there!
