Pitter-patter up! Runners line up at Milwaukee’s Miller Park on Saturday, September 28, for the Brewers Mini Marathon and 10K. The popular fitness event, inaugurated in 2012, draws racers from across the Badger State to run through the baseball stadium and surrounding areas.
The 2013 Brewers Mini Marathon and 10K, beginning at 7 a.m., is held in conjunction with the MACC (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer, Inc.) Fund, benefits childhood cancer research in Wisconsin. Online registration is available. No phone registrations are allowed, and no entry fee refunds are permitted for cancelations.
Participants must finish the entire course within 3 1/2 hours. Minimum age requirements are 14 years for the Mini Marathon and 12 years for the 10K.
On-site free parking is available for race participants and spectators for the Brewers Mini Marathon and 10K at Miller Park. Lots open at 5 a.m. on race day. Gear check will be offered on race day.
On-course aid stations will provide water and sports drinks, as well as entertainment.
Race packet pickup is scheduled for Thursday, September 26 (4 p.m. to 7 p.m.), and Friday, September 27 (11 a.m. to 8 p.m.) at the Miller Park SKKY Lounge near the Hot Corner/TGI Friday’s entrance. No race-day registrations or packet pickups will be offered.
Participants in the Brewers Mini Marathon and 10K will receive official race tech tee shirts, finisher medals, bib numbers, timing/scoring tags, free Milwaukee Brewers ticket vouchers (valid for April and May 2014), and discount coupons for merchandise and services.
Runners and spectators may stay for a post-race tailgate party at Miller Park, where top male and female runners overall and in various age categories will receive special awards for the Brewers Mini Marathon and 10K.
