For those who love craft beer and love reality tv, Discovery Channel has a new series that started on Sunday. Brew Masters follows Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione on his regular adventures to produce the off-centered ales that his brewery is famous for. The show takes Sam and his fellow brewers around the world in search of rare opportunity and unique situations with beer at the center.
The first episode is centered around a ceremonial brew and gives a general introduction of Sam and some members of the Dogfish Head team. Bitches Brew is an infused beer inspired by the 40th anniversary release of Miles Davis' album by the same name. Most importantly the viewer gets a behind the scene look at the brewery and a few choice individuals that make it a success. Lead Brewer, Bryan Selders, has been with Dogfish Head since 2002. He appears to be Sam's superhero sidekick above the the brew kettle and behind a mic. Brewmaster, Floris Delee, is the third man behind the magic. His job is to keep the Milton Brewery running smooth and consistent. He and his team follow the mass production of each beer from mash to bottle.
