On Saturday, January 12 from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Alan Edick, retiring volunteer at Brevard Little Theatre (BLT), will lead a free workshop on producing plays.
With over 60 years of community theatre experience, Alan Edick has performed, directed and produced at a dozen theater groups in six different states and with the Armed Forces overseas. He has worked on at least seventy different productions.
His acting career includes roles in On Golden Pond, The Odd Couple, Arsenic and Old Lace, Broadway Bound and many musicals including A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, How To Succeed in Business, Chicago, Mame, Brigadoon, and Fiorello.
His directing credits include BLT productions of The Fantasticks, Grace and Glorie, Radio Gals, Fiddler On The Roof, Oliver, I Ought To Be in Pictures, Anything Goes, The Christmas Carole Rag, The Hallelujah Girls and “Steel Magnolias.
As a show Producer, his credits include The Glass Menagerie, Angel Street, The Heiress, Kiss Me Kate, Guys and Dolls, The Diary of Ann Frank, The Moon is Blue, The Runner Stumbles, Romantic Comedy, Wait Until Dark, The Pajama Game and The Silver Whistle.
