Bret Michaels, who has gone from Poison front man to reality TV star, performed at last night’s Celebrity Fight Night which raised much-needed funds for St. Joseph’s Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix Arizona. St. Joseph Hospital is where Bret Michaels received his subarachnoid brain hemorrhage treatment, as well as additional treatment for a heart condition. Joined by Bret Michaels were celebrities Muhammad Ali, Lonnie Ali, Halle Berry, Kelly Clarkson, Sinbad, Verne Troyer, Billy Crystal, Jordin Sparks, Bo Derek, Kevin Costner and Miss Arizona.

Hosted by Reba McEntirefor the sixth year in a row,Celebrity Fight Night was held at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa and the event included dinner, an auction and an awards presentation. Halle Berry was honored with an award for her dedication to St. Joseph’s and Dr. Bob Parsons was honored as Entrepreneur of the Year. Over the past sixteen years Celebrity Fight Night has raised over $65 million for St. Joseph’s Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center as well as additional charities.
Auction items at the event included Dinner with Kevin Costner, a trip to Patagonia of South America, a one-of-a-kind 2011 DUB Edition Toyota FJ Cruiser 4WD, and Dinner for ten with Bret Michaels at his home as well as additional celebrity packages, vacations and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.
Raising money for St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is close to Bret Michael’s heart. In April of 2010 Michaels went to St. Joseph’s Barrow Neurological Institute after he suffered from a sudden and frightful subarachnoid hemorrhage. In January of 2011, Bret Michael returned to the hospital to undergo surgery which closed a hole in his heart.
