Bret Michaels meltdown: Takes 'Celebrity Apprentice' elimination hard

Bret Michaels had a breakdown after his elimination on "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" that premiered Sunday night. According to RadarOnline March 5, Michaels was shocked that he was the first to be fired by Donald Trump on the show.

"Bret was crying and totally distraught after he was fired," a source close to the show said.

Michaels was let go when Trump wasn't impressed with answers he was giving him in the boardroom. At one one point he told the star he wasn't sure if he was brave or not very smart when it came to a decision he made in the first challenge.

“Bret totally went into the show believing he was going to win again,” the source added. “He couldn’t believe it that he was let go so quickly. It was brutal to watch him freaking out the way he did.”

On his way to the door on "Celebrity Apprentice," Trump told Michaels that he thought he was a really good guy. Michaels kept walking and seemed too distraught to acknowledge what Trump had said.

“It was a mess when Bret was told the news and filming was done,” the source concluded. “He couldn’t stop crying and even the producers were trying to comfort him. No one expected him to have a meltdown like that.”

It was a surprise to see Bret Michaels eliminated so soon since he was the "Celebrity Apprentice" winner in 2010.

"All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" airs Sunday nights on NBC at 9 p.m., ET/PT. Viewers in Portland, Ore. can tune into KGW channel 8.
