Bret Michaels' meltdown: Is there more to this than meets the eye?

Bret Michaels' meltdown on Sunday night after Donald Trump fired him from “Celebrity Apprentice” may have been fueled with more than met the eye during the show, according to Radaronline Tuesday, March 5, 2013. Michaels is emotional by nature, as anyone can attest to after to after watching him a few years back in his own reality show, “Rock of Love.”

This is a rocker who also thinks a lot of his own abilities and he was determined to surface as the winner of “Celebrity Apprentice” once again. He never imagined that he would be the first contestant booted by Donald Trump. While Bret does put a lot of stock in his own abilities, he has a right to after the career and fame he worked hard for and accomplished.

In other words, Bret is hard on himself when it comes to reaching his goals and this is something that helped trigger the meltdown. His short-lived spot on “Celebrity Apprentice” shocked many of the fans. Not many thought that Bret would be the first to be dismissed by Trump, so as surprised as he was, the fans at home were scratching their heads.

He aced the first season he appeared in on this reality show, so he proved himself back then as the best out a group of very capable celebrities. It would stand to reason for many, including Bret himself, to think that he’d at least make it through a good portion of the season, even if he wasn’t the winner in the end.

While his tears and emotional meltdown on this episode were hard to watch for most of his fans, the point is people did watch, over and over again. The clip of Bret’s tears and angst has been online, shown on news shows and talk shows. This has brought “Celebrity Apprentice” much publicity. Could this be one of the reasons for Bret’s firing on the show?

Can you think of a better way to start off the new season of “Celebrity Apprentice” with a huge controversy over firing the big winner from a previous season? Just maybe there was a method in this madness. Donald Trump didn't achieve success by plugging along. He’s someone that plans way into the future and by firing Michaels so soon, this did put this reality show front and center in the news. It was a great plan for ratings, if by chance that's what it was!
