Rocker Bret Michaels continues on with his philanthropic ways by donating the proceeds from his charity concert in December to the Camelot Therapeutic Horse Ranch. My fox Phoenix.com reported on Wednesday, Jan. 9 that Michaels felt the great need to become involved with the organization in May of 2011 after watching a feature about the horse ranch on Fox.
After learning more about the Camelot Ranch, Bret Michaels, along with his two daughters Raine and Jorja began sponsoring a horse named Barbara. Raine and Jorja have since become regular visitors to the ranch, grooming and feeding the horse.
In December 2012, Michaels had a concert at Celebrity Theatre benefiting charities like Camelot. On Jan. 9 Bret Michaels presented a check to the Camelot Therapeutic Horse Ranch through his Life Rocks Foundation.
As previously reported Bret Michaels is scheduled to release his new solo album, "Good Friends & Great Songs" on Feb. 26, 2013.
The former "Rock of Love" star will perform with big named musicians, and close pals including Ace Frehley (KISS), Michael Anthony (CHICKENFOOT, VAN HALEN), Phil Collen (DEF LEPPARD), Joe Perry (AEROSMITH), Loretta Lynn, Lil Jon, Bobby Capps (.38 SPECIAL), Sal Coz Costa (MY DARKEST DAYS), Jimmy Buffett, Edwin McCain, Miley Cyrus, Gary Rossington, Peter Keys and Rickey Medlocke (LYNYRD SKYNYRD), Leslie West (MOUNTAIN), Jaret Reddick (BOWLING FOR SOUP) and C.C. Deville (POISON).
Bret Michaels recently spoke with Gimme Noise about his new album saying, "I'm really proud of what we've done with it. It's really not just a Bret Michaels album. I had so many other talented artists come in and support that it's really a 'Bret Michaels And Friends' album. There's a staggering amount of talent on this album. It's been such a fun project for me and I'm excited to share it with the fans."
