After all the smoke cleared from the Brent Musburger comments about Miss Alabama Katherine Webb, history shows us that Musburger has a eye for beauty and isn't afraid to tell us about it.
It seems that Jenn Sterger was the original; Katherine Webb was the second girl that fancied Musburger's eye at a college game (at least that was caught on tape).
"1,500 red-blooded Americans just decided to apply to Florida State." Musburger said after a shot of Sterger and her cowgirl friends during a Florida State vs. Miami game back in 2005.
Sterger was an instant celebrity after several shots of her captured the nation back in 2005 for the same reasons Katherine Webb is now – because of ESPN and Brent Musburger.
Sure, Webb was already popular in the state of Alabama, but her rise after Musburger's commentary at the BCS Championship sent her into celebrity status.
Webb, the girlfriend of Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron, has seen her Twitter following go through the roof as she is currently burning up search engines around the world, all thanks to Musburger.
Sterger went on to a modeling career that led her to pose for Maxim and Playboy magazines. She later landed a job as the New York Jets sideline reporter. However she may be remembered for the girl who got the infamous picture text from Brett Favre of his...well, you remember!
Webb, the girlfriend of Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron, has since become an internet star of sorts as her Twitter following has exploded since Musburger's comments.
ESPN may have apologized for Musburger's comments, but both of these ladies sure have made out well. Personally, the comments he made about both women don't seem so bad, do they?
