Liverpool manager Brandon Rodgers has been named Manager of the Year by the League Managers Association.

The former Swansea coach was hired by Liverpool in 2012, he helped Liverpool from 7th place to 2nd place in the space of 2 years. Rodgers did this by buying key players such as Coutinho, Sturridge, Cissokho, and Sakho. While also using the youth that was already there, such as Raheem Sterling and Flanagan.

It should be noted that within the last few weeks in the Premier League Liverpool were contenders to win the title. However, they failed to do so due to tying Crystal Palace. This allowed Manchester City to take advantage and go on to win the League. It is important to realize that Liverpool will not be in the Champions League next season. The first time in a long time.
