Brenda Watson outlines her ‘Heart of Perfect Health’ plan on PBS (Video)

“Fiber35” author and nutritional consultant Brenda Watson is popping up on PBS stations nationwide this month with her “Heart of Perfect Health” TV special. She has long preached about the importance of digestive care, but she is expanding her whole-body view to stopping heart disease with weight loss, probiotics and fish oil supplementation.

Let’s take a look at the “Heart of Perfect Health” (Renew Life Press, $44.95), which is featured on the PBS special.

It’s a large, 433-page hardcover book, and goes over the topics in the TV special, including:

  • Cholesterol
  • High blood pressure
  • High blood sugar
  • Obesity
  • Inflammation
  • The gut connection
  • Stress
  • Hormones and the heart
  • Toxins and heart disease

Key to the book is a Love Your Heart eating plan, which pumps up the fiber, omega-3’s, probiotics and enzymes. There’s a one-week meal planner and recipes, including dishes such as Eggplant Roulades, Chicken-Lime Cobb Salad, Indian-Spiced Garbanzos, and Beef-n-Veggie Bolognese. Every recipe has multiple color photos and illustrated step-by-step instructions. In the back of the book is full nutritional information on every recipe.
