Brenda Song's 'First Kiss' heads to Austin Film Festival

Brenda Song's award-winning short film, First Kiss is set to be screened at the Austin Film Festival in Texas on October 18 till 25. The film is known as the first of its kind to focus on writer's talent. Past guests at the festival include Johnny Depp and Robert Rodrigruez is set to be honored at the festival this year.

Song, last seen in The Social Network and ABC's Scandal, starred in the short comedy film alongside her Social Network co-star Joseph Mazzello. Charles Hood directed and wrote the film, which is about a young couple who encounter all sorts of obstacles while trying their first kiss.

First Kiss has had a very successful festival run ever since its world premiere as the opening film at the Catalina Film Festival's 85th edition. The film just recently won the ''Best of the Festival'' award at the TriMedia Film Festival in Fort Collins, Colorado.

The film was later screened at numerous film festivals including the L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival, Free State Film Festival, Omaha Film Festivaland Rhode Island International Film Festival.
