A former Los Angeles news anchor by the name of Bree Walker was arrested on the suspicion of DUI in Anaheim, California, according to the LA Times on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014. Bree Walker was known as a bit of an 80s sweetheart news anchor whose looks were the focal point of a lot of attention.
Anaheim police detained both Bree Walker and her dog a little after midnight on Wednesday night.
It appears as if Walker, 60-years-old, ran a red light and was pulled over by the police. As the authorities walked over to speak with her about it, she was then instructed to take a field sobriety test.
Bree Walker reportedly failed that test.
She was then booked for misdemeanor DUI and released within a few hours. Bree Walker's pit bull named Petey was in the vehicle with her at the time of her arrest and was taken by officials from animal control.
Walker worked for a number of local news stations many years ago including those in Los Angeles, San Diego, and New York.
She was said to have done a stay in rehab a few years ago due to her alcohol abuse.
Bree Walker was also caught in an on-air scandal back in 1990 when she was romantically involved with co-anchor Jim Lampley as they were still married to another man and woman respectively. They ended up marrying and then divorcing in 2000.
