Like many area school districts, the Brecksville-Broadview Heights school system is reeling from the failed November levy. The School Board and Superintendent Scot Prebles are inviting the community to a special meeting on Thursday, January 6th, 2011 to discuss cuts in programs and services. The first public forum was held in December and this is round two to voice your opinion.

The Brecksville-Broadview Hts. City School District is solvent this year, but faces a deficit that the Board is trying to address in a proactive fashion. The forums are a way to get community input and increase transparency. The meeting will follow a special format with a PowerPoint presentation outlining possible cutbacks given by Prebles. Audience members will be able to "vote" using Scantron cards. Individuals will then have three minutes to share what they liked or did not like about the PowerPoint presentation and to share what they would like to add to the option list.
