Breckenridge Snowflake Challenge is for novice ice sculptors

No prior snow sculpting experience is necessary to enter this weekend's Breckenridge Snowflake Challenge snow sculpture contest. And, it's going to be great for spectators visiting Breckenridge in the next few weeks.

Snow sculptors will start creating their works of art beginning December 5, and judging culminates December 11. After Dec. 8, you can pick up a site map at the Breckenridge Welcome Center, if you want to see the creations.

Participants must sign up for the competition by Nov. 2. Cash prizes will be awarded and there's no limit on the number of team members.

This is a contest for novices. The Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championships (January 25-30, 2011),which is for professional ice sculptors.
