Marchese is shown in the official trailer of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” which was released yesterday, May 14, telling old friend Melissa Gorga about her cancer. Melissa Gorga appears to have no idea that Amber has undergone a double mastectomy as well as 18 months of chemotherapy.
Amber Marchese, who has a Masters in Bio-Behavioral Studies and Exercise Physiology from Columbia University, was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 31, when her children, Corbin and Isabella were both under three years old. Her passion for health and fitness drove her to develop Vici Fitness. In Italian vici means “to conquer” and that is just what Amber has done and will continue to do.
In addition to her fitness brand, Amber Marchese is a philanthropist and actress. She has appeared in several commercials and also was involved in taping an episode for The Food Network, according to her Bravo TV bio. Marchese plans to pursue an acting career in addition to her many other activities.
Amber and her husband James reside in Colts Neck, described as a breathtaking equestrian town in New Jersey. The couple has the typical fiery, solid and loving Italian marriage. Fans may find that Amber and James give Melissa and Joe Gorga a run for their money in the sexy marriage department.
In her Bravo bio Amber Marchese describes herself as intensely passionate, but also downright silly. Her hard fought battle with breast cancer has instilled in her the drive to never surrender and to be a better person. As she tries to be an inspiration, she often finds herself involved in conflicts with others, especially Melissa Gorga.
Fans will meet Amber Marchese when season six of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” premieres at 10 p.m. Sunday, July 13 on Bravo. Fans will also meet the other two new “RHONJ”, Nicole Mauriello and Teresa Aprea, identical twin sisters whose lives could not be more different.
