October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month and celebrity actress Christina Applegate is doing her part.
The star has organized charity tee shirt auctions and teamed up with Lee to spread pink awareness and to fight for something she truly believes in.
A year post-diagnosis, Christina is speaking out again to Us Weekly and says she's doing better-than-average after her journey through survival.
Applegate underwent a double mastectomy and while the 37-year-old star says she "misses her old breasts", she is happy to admit she's doing well.
"I'm very good," the star told Usmagazine.com.
Christina says she's good now, but the star won't hesitate in mentioning it was a tough thing to go through.
She told the celeb mag she wanted to "cry...and scream" after the doctor delivered her diagnosis and now she finds power in spreading the word.
"My mother is a breast and ovarian cancer survivor and I've always been very outspoken about it. Then of course it happened to me. And I lost my cousin last year to cancer -- so its very important that we stop it."
She adds with the final word.
"Enough is enough."
