In an interview with a South American website, Paul McCartney has revealed he's working on songs for a new album to be recorded next year.
He told the website clarin.com, "I have in mind a few things for after the tour. The end of a tour, for me, is never a definitive ending. I have always been new development projects. I am currently working on composing new songs for what is to be a new studio album, which will record the next year. And while I'm preparing music for a ballet. It's very interesting, unlike anything I've ever done. We will also continue remastering my previous albums. Whenever I have something to do. I am very fortunate to be able to do what I love. Always the last day of anything is the first of something new."
There's no indication on when the album might be released.
He also countered talk that this might be his last tour. "In my shows, the last thing I say is 'See you next time,'" he told writer Eduardo Slusarczuk. "But I never thought that this was my last tour."

The man is on fire! Awesome.
That's great news. I loved Electric Arguments but that came out in 2008!
And thanks for the Paul news.
Hi Steve, McCartney is talking quite funnily in this article. Has his English been babelfished from an article in Portugese? I would be more happy with the original quotes.
Thank you for all the effort you put into your posts anyway!

Ardaan. Yes, that was translated. You can see the original item at the link.
A gigantic THANK YOU for the exellent news!
This is fantastic news! Do you think he will record with his touring band? Might have something totally new under his cap.
Every time he ends a tour, rumors fly around the internet that it will be his last. Paul will never quit. Deal with it.
It happens with the Stones, too.
Music for a ballet? Oh barf! Rock and roll is where it is at Macca! When are you coming back to Chicago, Paul? That omission on this last tour is curious. CACITBY, MAF and EA were amazing but stay away from classical and ballet Sir Paul!
Well to each his own, I guess. My 12 year old daughter is a huge Paul fan and has been taking ballet for 6 years, so she thinks the idea of combining Paul and ballet is fab, so to speak.
I love Ecce Cor Meum and Working Classical. Tuesday and A Leaf are favorites. His classicla music is more melodic than most. I listen to it all day at work.
What he actually says is that he never thought it was his last tour, it doesn't say more tours are definitively planned.
He's been saying all along this isn't the last tour, though some sources have tried to report those rumors.
If Paul is able to stand upright and sing he will tour. The man loves music.
Don't forget Peru, Paul!
More tours! Good. Surely after 10 years of touring with many tours and appearances in North America and some in Europe, the UK and Japan...and now South America - can we Australians now PLEASE be next in line for concerts!!!
I have it from a very good source, Macca's album will be out sometime in October, included in the package, will be a live highlights disc of last years tour, watch out for this title, "Not Alone Anymore" titles of the songs are as follows...
musical intro
1. Not alone Anymore (beautiful Ballad)
2. Look over your Shoulder (kick ass rocker)
3. No can do (if you want me to) (melody to die for)
4. Love is all you Feel (beautiful piano based song)
5. Going down the Road (feel good song with a cracking guitar solo)
6. Bring it all Back (beautiful night pt2)
7. Not alone Anymore (reprise)
8. We are Together in Dreams (perfect love song)
9. The river that Flows ( country/ folk song)
10. Stay (pure pop)
11. Can't Stop (rocker)
12. I cant hold back these feeling Inside (fantastic melody)
13. The Road (cool ballad)
musical outro
these titles may change, not much though....
I've heard a few of those titles being banded around by a few friends in the industry, all good reviews too, can't wait for this.
Sorry people. That was my lame attempt at an April Fools Joke. Gotcha!
Ah man, you should have let it go on longer. I was having fun with these Macca nerds.
Got something to say?
